Has anyone seen a used Model S for sale yet? I bet they hold their value well. Autotrader has 1 roadster for $89k and no Model S.

It's hard to judge how they hold their value when they've only been on the market for what, 8 months?

I guess I should say I bet they will hold their value well. I'm just curious if a used one has popped up yet. It seems like with every new model of car anywhere there are always a few people with buyer's remorse that ditch it right away.

I don't think they'll hold their value any better than any other car in their price range. Maybe for a little bit as they sort of trickle out, but it's not like it's an exclusive car or anything.

My guess would be the values will stay maybe 5 to 10% higher than similarly spec'd mercs and audis and the like, only because maintenance SHOULD be cheaper. Of course, once they start nearing the end of the battery life, unless you can get a replacement battery for really cheap, the values will absolutely plummet.

I was thinking exactly along those lines. They should retain good value because of lower maintenance and fewer things to go wrong. But later in life people will be fearful of the batteries. I feel they are just a bit exclusive too, at least so far that is.
